Take in and Let go

“The more that we can ‘open up’ to our environment and at the same time relinquish the things of the past, the more vital and alive we are” quoted in Shiatsu book by Gabriel Mojay.

The sunset is a transition time from Yang to Ying. Our nervous system turns into para-sympathetic state towards evening. In terms of the Traditional Chinese Medicine, the light of the sunset has a power of letting go. This essence is deeply connected to the Lung in the philosophy. The Lung is related to the process of respiration. Activating the Lung helps Qi circulate for the harmony of ‘take in’ and ‘let go’.
